On the M25 to Heathrow

Took 2 hours from Auntie Fi ( Wickford ) to Heathrow - roadworks part of the way and one broken down truck slowed the journey down a lot.

I've been slack the last few days and not really doing much updating of the blog. When we arrived in Los Angeles from London we picked up our rental car and drove through to Palm Springs - got there around midnight with the longest processing we've ever had through LAX customs, and another long wait at Alamo rentals. We've been relaxing and doing some shopping in and around Palm Springs and enjoying the sunshine. Part of the valley actually had rain the second day we were here and they scored half the years rain fall - about an inch. We heard the thunder from where we are staying but no rain. First time ever we've seen dark clouds here.

A surprise at Genoa airport

sunny 28 °C

I told Sarah I got a really good deal flying back to the UK with this airline. It's quite unusual looking and looks like it could be older than me. Came back with Ryanair - forgot to tell Auntie Fi that they had a schedule change ( now coming in about an hour later ) and also delayed an hour on the day. She had a long wait - oops. Ryanair has a fleet of over 300 737-800's
